Contributions grew 147% over 2024 ($68,665 to $169,869). Expenses ran $1,963 ahead of contributions because of a one-time $15,000 land purchase to expand the ministry site. Year-end net assets of $28,027 hold roughly one year of baseline operating costs for our Cambodian team in reserve.
Where ministry funds went
$141,919 in 2025. This excludes the outreach trip, which is shown separately below. Percentages are of ministry funds.
Ministry in Pursat covers local staff, feeding and education programs, community assistance, home repairs, medical help, buildings and property, pastoral conferences, outreach, and support for a local Cambodian ministry.
Leadership planning and oversight is the annual trip by our President and Treasurer to renew staff and partner contracts, verify in person how funds were used, and plan the year ahead with our Cambodian team.
The outreach trip paid its own way
$29,913
covered travel, lodging, meals, and ministry events for the 2025 outreach team.
Every dollar of it was raised by the team members who went. Gifts toward the trip are designated to a specific traveler when they are given, and are applied only to that traveler's trip costs. From 2026 forward these funds are also recorded in dedicated accounts in our books, so the separation is visible in the accounting itself.
No general ministry donations paid for participant travel. Because those gifts come in and go back out for the same purpose, we report the trip separately from ministry funds so it is clear what your giving supported.
Public filings
Light of Cambodia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 92-3910833). Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Giving is processed securely through Zeffy, so 100% of your gift reaches the ministry.
